Frequently Asked Questions

How long will this repair take?

Every customer and every job is different. At M.C. Diesel we strive to finish the repair as quick as possible WITHOUT sacrificing quality. Finishing the job correctly the first time is the most important part of the job. There is an old saying in the industry that goes like this, “Your 20 minute job is one broken bolt away from being a three day ordeal.” Although we do not wish that on anybody, it is always a possibility.

How much will this repair cost me?

Every job and every customer is different. M.C. Diesel will be happy to give you an estimate on your repair. Keep in mind, that this is just an estimate, or a qualified guess at what we believe is wrong. Could be more, could be less. The only way to give an accurate quote or estimate is to fully disassemble, clean and inspect.

What type of payment is accepted?

M.C. Diesel will take all forms of payment. Preferred method is check or cash, but we will accept credit cards as well as electronic checks (i.e. Com-Checks, E-Checks, EFS Checks, etc.) Note All credit card transactions will carry a 3.5% service charge to cover the cost of machine leasing and credit card interchange fees.

Can I take my truck and pay you later?

No! Payment is expected when repairs are finished.

What type of warranty do you offer?

At M.C. Diesel takes great pride in what they do and stand behind their work. Labor carries a 90-day warranty and the parts usually carry a 1 year manufacturer warranty. In most cases labor is not covered under the parts manufacturer warranty unless warranty work is performed at an authorized dealer.

Does M.C. Diesel repair with used parts?

Generally, NO. Every circumstance is different. In most cases, we will use a new or Remanufactured part (which usually has the same warranty at 1/3 the cost.) M.C. Diesel will use whatever parts the customer decides to use. M.C. Diesel will be happy to use your parts, but M.C. Diesel cannot stand behind the parts the customer supplied.

How do I know what repairs were done to my tractor/trailer?

At M.C. Diesel communication is key. Our service reports are “to the T” as far as what was done to your tractor/trailer. With the most extensive and detailed reports in the state, you won’t be “up in the air” about what was done to your tractor or trailer.
